Feeding The Birds
177 Answers
Do you put food out for the birds?
Or hedgehogs and other critters for that matter?
I've just found some florentine mince pies and mini stollen I forgot I had and some OOD Brioche buns that little G wasn't keen on and I've just thrown the lot out with some crusts of bread.
I like looking after the birdies :-)

Me neither, Minty, sadly. I guess we will have to wait or otherwise never know.
Rowan, if you're still about, good luck with the scan xx
I might look for a bird zoo of sorts to take little G when the weather is better. I think there's a place not far away called Little Owl Farm which is supposed to be really good for a family day out - my hairdresser told me about it.

Take him to the owl place in Hagley, , he isn't old enough to handle them yet but he might be amused by some of them, they have vultures there, so birds probably bigger than he is. I don't think the reptile and raptor place in Redditch has open days but they do take their birds to events. Worth looking out for. Especially Bob, who is a little owl with an attitude problem
///the castle car park bit is now a shopping mall I believe..///
It is. But I remember it when it was a cattle market, before it even became a car park !

We feed the birds, having several hanging 'doodahs'. At the moment they get mostly fat balls which they love judging by how fast they disappear. We have mostly sparrows, the starlings that are roosting under our eves, a couple of pigeons, blue tits and occasionally a robin and male blackbird. A lot of people round the neighbourhood feed the birds so they have a good choice.
