He always used to sleep next to me every night on my bed but for the past 6 weeks or so he sleeps on the landing behind a hoover. His appetite is always good and he seems OK in himself otherwise. He also used to jump up onto the bed when I clean my teeth with an electric toothbrush (the sound of it used to drive him amorous!) and I purposely chose my bed to do my teeth as he loved the sound.
I took him with me on a caravan holiday last week (I didn’t want to put him in a cattery as he’s always miserable in them) and he was all over me there – just like he used to be at home. Now I’m back home, he’s gone back to ignoring me most times.
Any ideas what’s up with him? Is it just a case of him getting older and doesn’t need to be tactile any longer?
Maybe he felt a bit insecure being away from his usual home and needed to know you were around? My cat lived till she was 21 and I did notice she preferred her own space rather than my knee as she became older. Having said that, she had arthritis and couldn't jump up as she once did.
He's just doing 'cat'.
I think we talked about your cat changing his habits not long ago. It's what cats do...maybe it's too warm being next to you and he will return to your bed come winter.
I've had the guy in the avatar for about 5 years (we think he's about 8 year old) and for those 5 years, once i've eaten my evening meal and settled down to watch tv, he has jumped up and gone to sleep on the arm of my chair.
However, for the past few weeks, he has preferred to remain on 'his' part of the settee. Who knows what our animal friends are thinking?
Are masters loving their slaves a common occurrence ?
yes
pai - ( ma leedol chile) was used so commonly in Rome ( where they spoke Greek more dan Latin, yeah?) that, it came only used for slaves and the word for children was tekna
someone asked
another wrote of his grief at the death of an 8 y old who did a lickle dance of welcome whenever he came home. ( deliciae - my pet)
a third put up a grave to his fave slave ( tower thing on a road)
Boris learnt all this when he should have been learning to run a country - aaah we are wasted in our professions !
