I'm looking for a pate type food for Toby. He'll happily eat Gourmet Gold pate...but that's about the only one I can rely on. His other favourite bybtge same maker was discontinued.

I've tried Sheba, Lidl tiny tins, Aldi, some random brands I've come across...most gets rejected.

I've seen a few European brands on Amazon and zooplus...but I want to know what your cats eat.

Simpla answer then, just explain that to Toby. I'm sure he'll listen.

His reaction...held his paws over his ears, singing..."lahh, lah, lah, lahhh, lah, lah"

Nobody owns a cat!

The cat owns them!

I don't own a cat. Or a dog. Can't understand why anyone would want to.

pasta, do you have the means o do a power point presentation?  he might listen to that?

Mine eat Felix as Good as it Looks, but it must be in gravy.  They haughtily turn up their noses at ANYTHING else.  But then will happily eat mice, baby rats, shrews and spiders.  Now they ain't in gravy!!!!

They also like Purina biscuits.

Has nobody ever thought of letting the wee darlings get a bit hungry?

Might work wonders and free up enablers minds to worry about real world problems.

No charge for this suggestion.

"No charge for this suggestion"

that's ok because no notice is taken of the suggestion

It's that kind of attitude that allows Scientology to flourish. x

😁

Why not try the solution used for children when I was young - leftovers served up for the next meal.

Canary, have you ever seen what leftover cat good looks like? *shudder*

10Clarion...I don't own a cat either...please refer to Ozzys comment 😁 (an emoji just for you x)

Bednobs...he'd ignore it. He's great at giving looks of disdain

Douglas...see above dirty look. He doesn't even howl for food like a normal cat. He stares...and waits.

Awwww, gorgeous boy.  I think that is the "I'll have the salmon followed by a little poached chicken" look.

I'm waiting for him to learn how to snap his toes (fingers) to get me to move..."quicker, human!"

Ziggy just sits beside his bowl and looks very sad - at present he's accepting a Royal Canin sachet to ward off any kidney problems ( which he really doesn't have ) and because he likes the gravy he does eat it fairly readily.

However when he does spit the dummy food wise I resort to a can of tuna in spring water - he drinks the water, eats some tuna and turns up his nose at the rest.

And as a last resort - porterhouse steak - he prefers the firmer textured meat - and if he'd eat it full time I'd gladly feed it to him.

if you get the feeling he's one spoilt brat then you'd be right !!

Btw I can't believe it's over two years since Tony came into your life, he's a happy boy & a lucky one xx

Talk about being a slave 😳

My old boy used to be like yours, Pasta, fussy! Now he's older, he's seems to eat whenever he can! My son was up before me thus morning and fed him. When I got up an hour later, he was shouting at me to be fed. Crafty little ******! Just fir a bit of peace, I gave him a little bit of cooked chicken I had left in fridge, put him in the conservatory, and shut door quick..He's sleeping now..😁

I have tried Doug's method of letting the cat get hungry.

It worked a bit, but then 'er indoors started accusing me of animal cruelty and opened even more sachets than needed.

When I had a cat, she mainly ate Felix Good as it Looks, sometimes Gourmet.  I wouldn't recommend buying food from abroad  ... I took some home once and she didn't even sample it.
She used to drink from the bird bath in the garden! Obviously the "bird flavour" appealed!

It is almost impossible to ignore the cries of a cat that has not eaten for an hour or so.  Then you get the physical reminders, using both claws and teeth.

Silly o'clock breakfasts are not something that I am missing.

Our five month old kitten climbed the ladder into the loft the other day. She had such a good time and enjoyed it so much that she now sits under the hatch crying and staring up at it.
