Does wonders on Jess

Does it make her really dopey, Helen?

no not dopey - relaxed and chill

I didn't go down the full sedative route as I did'nt want a dopey dog that may keep her a bit 'slow' the following day

Now its not cheap it was about £35 for the tube

Question Author

Glad to hear that it's not a sedative. I'm quite prepared to pay for something if it's good. Thank you. We have an appointment on Thursday and will ask about it. Thank you.

You are welome - good luck

My vet confirmed I could give Jay a Melatonin tablet last year as he doesn't like loud noises.  I did and it worked.  However, it was only a 1 or 2mg tablet as he's only a little chap about 8.5kg.

Not just dogs who are affected.

Bees become so disorientated they don't go back to their hives.

Birds have panic attacks at night causing mass deaths.

Wild animals raising young abandon their den in fear.

Fish and other animals perish after ingesting firework debris.

Companion animals have anxiety and panic attacks.

Humans have PTSD

Can we have silent fireworks please?

Question Author

I'd rather ban all fireworks, Maggie.

We don't need bangers that's for sure Maggie.

Question Author

Thank you, Lb. I'll see what options the vets gives me.

Pity I don't live near SoT Tilly.  I could have givn you one to try, not you, your dog;-)

Question Author

I don't live near SOT either, LB😂

Oh sorry Tilly, I was thinking you lived near Nailedit.

Question Author

I moved away 54yrs ago but still call it my home.

You can't ban bangers - they're great with mash, especially with onion gravy too.

Question Author

I have to agree with you there, Canary. I always add Yorkshire pud. too.

It's a bad time for Benny and us we just make sure we are there for him to cuddle when needed. He gets terrified. Frankly I'd ban the whole lot except organised licensed displays. Thankfully it's not too bad round here.
