Dog Puffing Cheeks

Conflicting views on the internet, some say it is a sign of a stressed dog, others say contentment.

My friend's Labrador does this occasionally and it worries him (friend, not dog).

What is your experience of this behaviour?

Son's dog started doing this about 18months ago. Don't want to alarm your friend but it turned out to be heart problem. She is now on medication and hasn't had the puffing out problem.. I would get it checked out.
