I currently got a job as a maintenance tech but after over a month have yet to start actual work. Thought this would be a good chance to get career training while in school but am starting to think maybe I should just go back to general labor till I finish school. What do you think?

If your job isn't giving you work, what is it doing ? Training ?

Question Author

Yeah, just a few days training every week.

It's early days, give it a chance and see if you like it when you start the actual work

I agree, stick with it as youare getting the training you joined for.

You could mention that you're eager to be involved on actual work, even if just accompanying a more experienced employee. Might kick something off for you.
