Multi-Million/Billionaires Owning Farms
Society & Culture0 min ago
Sad to see another person has been killed by her own dogs, 2 XL Bully's.
I'm a dog lover but this breed needs to be eradicated. They are too powerful for anyone to handle if they get out of control.
So tragic .......

I agree with you. I love big dogs and have had two GSD/crosses.
The Bullies are almost always bred by people wo don't know what they are doing. Puppy farms tend to produce dogs that are poorly socialised and have bad genes.
Why anyone would risk their life having one in the house is beyond my comprehension.
I think it is up to the owners to learn to control their dogs.
//Why do some charities oppose the American XL bully ban? Breed-specific bans do not work and are unfair on responsible dog owners and their pets, according to the Dog Control Coalition.
The body includes Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, the Dogs Trust, the Kennel Club, the RSPCA and the British Veterinary Association.
The group wants a complete overhaul of the Dangerous Dogs Act, including tougher penalties for owners who fail to control their dogs.\\
The excuse that the owners are to blame doesn't wash witb these dogs. Different breeds have different innate qualities. That's why specific breeds are used for specific jobs and why my Border Collie who never saw a sheep in his life behaved like a sheepdog. The people who breed and own these dogs are very often morons who stupidly consider them to be some sort of status symbol - it makes them feel tough - but the dogs are powerfully built, they are aggressive and they all too often kill. That should be acknowledged.
Heaven forbid it ever happens to any of us, but I saw a video once by an American aging hippie type who seemed to know a lot about dogs and of what he spoke.
He said if you are ever attacked don't try to cover yourself with your arms, a natural reaction, but go if you possibly can for its collar, grab it and twist it as hard as you can, which will choke it.
Atheist - // Guns are harmless until they get in the hands of daft or bad people. We control their possession and use. We should surely do the same with dogs. //
Your analogy doesn't really fly.
Guns are inanimate, they don't suddenly decide to fire themselves. They remain inanimate until used.
Dogs are sentient creatures, they have instincts and free thought, and they can get up and bite you whenever the mood takes them.
The idea of 'control' of a dog only works until the dog decides it doesn't wish to be controlled any more.
Any dog can turn, it's naive people who believe their dog 'would never bite anyone'.
It's a dog, it would.
My dog loves me and I doubt he would ever bite me. However, he has warned two other people to leave me alone by snapping at them. It was definitely just a warning, his teeth never touched either of them. One had actually grabbed my arm to stop me falling. I do believe it anyone did really try to harm me now he would go for them and I'm relieved that he would as I am unable to protect myself. If that happened then I guess he would have to be PTS.
It was definitely 2 XL Bully's. They were even registered as so.
This is very close to home for me, just a couple of miles down the road, local news says the neighbours had never even seen the dogs which speaks volumes. They were probably cooped up in that home day after day.
All my neighbours know and love my dog as I take him to the park twice a day, he is well socialised and everyone loves him.
Doubt if that would be the case if he was left in the house all the time.
