Would You Accept American Refugees?

I don't see US citizens as able to claim to be seeking asylum. So they can apply in the usual manner and get permission if they are sufficient benefit/no risk. But I'm not personally putting them up.

Old-Geezer - I can't see anyone has used the words Asylum-Seekers. That certainly wasn't what I asked.

To clarify then: these would be people just getting away from the new regime in the US but possibly bringing advantageous skill sets and possibly taking high level jobs which could benefit the UK on several fronts. But at the expense of Uk jobs.

I've studied the subject matter on this forum for some time and immigration seems to cause a lively debate whenever it is mentioned. 
I just thought that the article I linked to which shows there is a suggestion to leave the 'states' might create a different angle on the subject.

I don't see anything about people leaving, more like staying and fighting to preserve democracy.

I shouldn't think we'd see too big an influx here anyway.
