I have a BT7610 Trio cordless phone to which I added two additional (BT2000) handsets.
I would now like to replace these additional handsets with new BT7610 handsets.  However, when I try to de-register the BT2000 handsets, I get the error message, "Not available with this base".
I would be grateful for any advice as to how I can add the new BT7610 handsets.  At the moment when I try to do this I get a "not possible" message.  This suggests that the maximum number of handsets has been reached .

De-register the BT2000 Handsets manually:
Some BT phones allow a hidden de-registration method:
Press the Find button on the base station for 10-15 seconds. This may force a reset and removal of all handsets.

Sorted!   Apparently it's not possible to de-register using the "non-compatible" BT2000 handsets.  It has to be done from one of the original BT7610 handsets.  All done OK now and new handsets registered.
