Bear vs Shark

Who would win in a fight between a Bear and a Shark? Assuming the fighting conditions were fair, and neither animal had any advantages. I just read the book and rather frustratingly you never find out the outcome...

never fight a bear. The bear would win. The shark would have to be face on to harm the bear while the bear could swipe chunks out of it from anywhere
