By the old-fashioned way ofcourse
hens lay an egg just about every day, these eggs are not fertilised unless there is a rooster in the yard
Young chickens will lay fairly continuously for about a year. Older birds do not lay eggs in the winter months, but these days old age isn't a problem faced by many chickens.
