dogs and aggression

hi, i was just wondering if anyone knew anything about a "red eye" disorder in dogs that may make them aggressive? my boyfriend has a border collie (rescued) who gets really red eyes in the evening and is getting quite snarly and snappy. i've never heard of this before...

I don't know of anything specifically related to red eyes but I'm no dog expert. if the dog had an allergy or irrtation or something that was causing it's eyes to be red then it might be a bit grumpy and cause normally friendly pooch to be a bit snarly? No doubt someone with more dog experience could advise, but vet would be best bet.

I dont know if there's a scientific connection but i know a little red cocker who has quite a temper and when he gets mad at other dogs his eyes go red!
