How do slugs get into your home and leave weird tails around your doormat - then they leave by the morning?

how, why, when, what are they doing

I'm looking for the most imaginative answers please rather than ' have i got a gap under my door? ' more along the line of - They bungie jump in through the key hole on spider webs and get ****** on your carpet then leave...........

I'm afraid I have no answers for you but I think they do bungee jump or parachute in or something like that as I have them in the centre of my kitchen carpet and I don't know which way they entered or which way they left! Just a circle of slug trail!!!!

Try putting beer in a bowl. You've got the lot then they love the sfuff (a bit like yobs). They will come through the gaps late at night, the ****** things. Yes they are a nightmare. They normally live at the bottom of the house on the outside, so there must be an entrance that you will have to find and block. You could lay sharp gravel all around the house and then get rid of the ones in the house with beer. It seemed to work with us.
