have u tryed taking the paper outside andl letting him go on that then gragually take the paper away ??
It does work putting the paper outside. First put the paper nearer the door then opening the door and putting it just outside, I'm sure this will work, it did for ours.

just perseverance I'm afraid, dont get stressed about it or he will not want to go in front of you at all.

we never used paper as our pup was trained from the begining to only go outside and never on purpose indoors - excepting the occasional accidents we never had a problem.

oh please dont think it will take forever and a day as I did! Mine is just 4 months old and is really good now with only the occasional accident. mine was waiting till she came inside aswell and I thought I was doing something wrong but it suddenly just clicks with them! Loads of praise and no shouting I think is the answer, good luck!
