I have a cat who is almost 8months old. Can anyone tell me how much they are supposed to eat? I have been feeding her from cans of Cat meat with biscuits too, and I don't want to overfeed her. Is 1/2 a can enough, of 3/4s? She is very active as we always play with her and she has began venturing into the other gardens now. Thanks gill3891

I feed my cat (just turned one year) 3 oz of the tinned food and I leave a bowl of the crunchy food out for her to have any time she wants it. This seems to working out well. She is now 8 pounds and the vet said she is in perfect health also perfect weight for her age and to just continue doing what we're doing. Also remember to leave her fresh water always available and to change it out at least twice a day. Good luck.
I feed my cat twice a day a spoon of tinned food and biscuits mixed, she is in great health and has a settled routine.

we cut out wet food completely from our 3 cats diet and they are now on a complete biscuit. they moaned for a few days but now eat it with just as much gusto as before.

they have free access to it and seem to be fine

Hi, we have 2 kittens aged 7 months, they are on a dry diet which was recommended to us by our vet and they have about 80/90 grammes of food a day each, but this will depend on the food you give them. (We use a plastic cup type/thingy given to us by the vet with a free sample of kitten food) Also, I think buying food especially for kittens rather than cats is a good idea, (if you are not already doing so) as it contains nutrients essential for their growth and development. Iams is a good brand, although a little pricy.. I think its worth it though. At the end of the day, you sound like a responsible owner and I'm sure your kitten is very happy whatever you feed her! But if you are worried, your vet can weigh her and can advise you.
