how can i stop a tom cat peiing in my kitchen.(its a neighbours) as i have 2 female cats which have been spayed. dont want to hurt the tom just deter it

Seriously, how does it get into your house? Do you have a catflap? If so maybe you could get one of the magnetic ones and it won't be able to use it.

Your neighbour shouldn't be letting an undressed tom out on the loose and being a pest like this. Have a word with them about it, maybe they dont realise that he'd be better neutered. Other than that just try and keep him out.

many thanks carol ann. i dont know the neighbour all that well so will play it by ear.

Hi Knappy2.

If you see the cat doing it then spray him with water using a water pistol, thye don't like that and soon get the idea, in the meantime, clean up after him using non ammonia sustances (ammonia only reinforces what they have done), use one that smells of oranges (cats don't like the smell) also if he has a particular spot, fillup empty drink bottles with water and place them where he has been spraying, this will also deter him. he's trying to make a teritorial stand and impose his rule on your cats, doing this should make him feel unwelcome and he'll clear off.
