This has nothing to do with Emphysema or Polycistic ovaries of course. I am guessing that the person in your office has been to the pub at lunch.

If this wasn't a typo maybe its something to do with auctions. "A ring" lets one member bid, then, having got it cheap holds a private auction and shares the profit. Illegal in UK I think
