Black Cats

Can anyone tell me why the cat from the neighbours on the right handside and the two cats from the neighbours on the left hand side,now think they live at our house. When I pull into our drive they are all waiting for me to open the front door. With the summer coming again it will be really hard to keep them out. They are lovely cats but I feel I might get a reputaion for cat stealing.

Well, you probably give them such a delightful welcome that they can't wait to see you. I suspect cats have an instinctive feeling about people who like them and they've obviously joined your fan club. It's when they start handing in their daily menu requirements that you have to start worrying - not to mention the neighbours starting to feel you'll be a "natural" for looking after their petswhen they go on holiday!

We never encourage the neighbours' cats coming into our house, and we have two of our own, who are not pleased about feline visitors, but we still seem to have the reputation of a kitty b&b.

They always come in, but run, if any human gets to close...

I am sure they get fed at home, too, they still empty out our cats' bowls in between!

Thank you all for your answers, I think we may have made a rod for are own backs now, especially as Felix and cat biscuits seem to have crept on to the weekly shopping list. They all three do seem generally hungry when I arrive home from work,

There's your answer right there. Can't aren't generally interested in you their owners are - just where they can get their next meal ticket from!! you should stop feeding them if you don't want them round any more. Harsh i know, but it's what they're coming round for!
