thnx

Just checking that site and it doesnt mention a few of your Q's. I'm no expert by any means but I've managed to keep a goldfish and a black moor together for a few years now and they've survived!

  • I feed mine a small pinch of flakes twice a day, they greedy little things and will carry on eating the more you feed them! Overfeeding can kill them :-(

  • I change about 50% of the water every week, and do a total water change, gravel wash, ornament wash etc (in clean water, no dettergents) every couple of weeks, or when the waters REALLY murky.

  • When I do a total change, I fill a spare tank the night before so that's at room temp as well ready for them to be popped into.

  • When I've done the total water change, i let the tank sit for about an hour or so so that once again it gets to room temp.

Good luck with your goldies, as sad as it sounds I adore mine and often talk to them!!

hi boo thnx for info . hehe talkin to goldfish lol

Hah, you can laugh, but I'm telling you, before you know it you'll be talking to them! I bet you- lol.
Aaaw !
Good luck with your goldfish christy. I had two which I had for ten years ,Fang and Foo but we moved from London getting on for three years ago to Norfolk and I had to give them away.
Luckily they went to a neighbour ,also a good friend of ours and they are still going strong ! I used to talk to them !!
An air pump is an ideal thing to get for your tank as well .It will keep the water oxygenated and filter the gunge.
If you get any problems or want any in depth info (fishkeeping can be a very addictive hobby), come along and register on www.uk-aquatics.com and ask all the questions you want. Lots of serious fishkeepers and hobbyists alike on there and very friendly.
