Who ever asked you to breed him at this young of an age is not a responsible breeder...now if they would like to wait and see how he turns out at 2 yrs old, then okay. You need to see if he is breeding material if he's sound of mind and body, health certificate and hip certification. Temperment is part of it, and has he done anything, got any titles, even a CGC or your equivilent. If you care about the breed you have to then make sure you better the breed not breed just to make money or just because he's "cute" and you want one "just like him", dogs are not clones. I love these bully breeds, and don't like what people do with them, that's how they are getting a bad rep. IMHO
Do they know anything about dog breeding at all?It doesnt sound like it! Just because you have an entire male, doesnt mean hes good for breeding from. Good breeders only breed to strengthen the blood lines of their dogs, they dont go around mating their dogs with any capable dog they come across. It would be very irressponsible to go ahead with this,at any time
Most dogs will have their testicles decend by 6 months. It is not all that uncommon to have one or neither remain in the abdomen. If that is the case with your staff then i would recommend that you neuter. Even if you don't he may not be able to breed. If he does successfully mate then the pups are more likely to also have this problem. I am always cautious before I would recommend breeding a staff anyways. I know that they get a bad wrap but with any dog they should be at least 18 months so that their temperment and their growth is confirmed. He is to young to breed right now. Hope this helps.
