Help !!!

I have a lovley dog. But i have a full time job and she is very michevious so i put her in her cage which is where she likes to be. As she feels uncomfertable without her cage, but im out for 8 hours a day she wees every day please help !

All I can add is this...it is a myth that a dog left in a crate will not go where they sleep, if left to long they gotta go..and this gets them use to living in there filth..which is bad if you try to potty train them to go out..is there any way you can block off an area to let her go in the crate for comfort but outside of it to wee? That is if you have no one to come in and give her a break.

I do not advocate you leaving them in for more than a few hours, but life is life, you do not say how old she is..

People are just expressing their opinions like I said, if they come across as if they are right all the time then it's probably because they feel strongly about the subjects.
About your vet....dunno, but it happens all over, its a shame but its true! I worked with some whos clients LURVED them and I (and all the other nurses and vets) wouldn't trust to be left alone for a second with my pets!

Hmmm,we are with the vet that the rspca used he didn't thinkmuch of them and their 'ideas' so they were told to go elsewhere,pity they didn't take said vet with them!!

Make sure your dog is allowed out to go to the loo immediately before she is put in her crate - stick to the same time and praise her when she goes, so she learns a routine.

But it still might be hard for her to hold it in all day!

I'm shocked, horrified and disguted that you leave your dog locked up in a crate for that long EVERY day. - is there any reason for you to have a dog???

Is it the attitude of 'can be seen but not heard'? I would highly recommend you go out and get yourself a stuffed animal and shove that in the crate and I promise that won't wee in you precious crate

I was really sad to read this post, because you obviously love your dog, but I honestly don't feel comfortable with the idea of leaving her in a cage for 8 hours. I'm not surprise that she's weeing. Could your bladder hold out for eight hours every day without being allowed a visit to the toilet.

It really isn't kind and the dog is having no quality of life while she's there. Could you not arrange for somebody to come in after four hours and walk her briefly? If this isn't possible, it honestly would be kinder to rehome her and not have another dog until you can spend more more time with it A cat might be a more manageable pet. They're far happier being left alone as they're mostly solitary animals, and a litter tray would solve the toilet problems.

Thats a good point Wendy that hadn't been raised on this thred about cats being solitary animals...dogs are not and in the wild live in packs, in the domestic situation the human family is the pack.

I can't really believe i'm reading this! I think you should count yourself lucky that all you find when you get home is wee!

I have an 18month old staff, when i acquired her my home situation was different and someone could either stay home with her or walk her regularly. As things have changed now i am trying to re home her to a family who have the time for her. I am home most of the day but i do go out for 3/4 hours every day, i know that while i'm in the home she won't do any mess but as soon as i close my front door she's barking and clawing the front door and guaranteed, whether she's just been walked or not, she will wee and poo all over the space she's in, (I close off the living room of course), and not just once but a few times while i'm out! When i get in i know i'm coming back to a BIG mess. I have even tried it just popping out for 10 mins and it's just the same! Someone told me it could be separation anxiety but the previous owner/s should have trained her. I have a toddleer too and you can imagine how it affects my day to day which is why for my sake and that of the dog i'm rehoming.

Sorry if it's not what you want to hear but i can't understand how you can think that it's fair to leave a dog 8/9 hrs alone in a cage! Please for her sake re-home her...

Sorry to go off topic just a second...stressed out..sep. anxiety IS what it sounds like...previous training does no good, it's what you do with the dog when your home, if they don't learn to be by themselves and amuse themselves they depend on you and when you leave they panic..and usually it's within 30 minutes of you leaving that the damage is done..so you probably never had " ignore the dog" time thru out the day..I recommend this to my classes of pups..they need to deal with out your constant input..it's usually 10-20 minutes 3 times a day. And now yours goes into Panic mode...it spent so much time with you it developed sep anxiety now that the routine has changed...if I'm reading this right..sorry didn't want someone coming on here and read this and get the wrong ideal...carry on...
