sparrows

does anyone know anything about worldwide distribution of sparrows? used to be in merchant navy and they seemed to be everywhere i.e far east countries,med. countries, north america,north africa and even the falkland islands. there are obviously going to be places where they haven't got to apart from the poles i would guess.

There are lots in my garden !!

The loveliest sparrows I have ever seen were on the the IOW.. a liitle restaurant where they were so tame that they sat on the table waiting for bits of scone and cake etc Some were even cheeky enough to perch on your shoulder !!
