Depending on what you use, just follow the instructions. If you use the spot on which you put on the back of the neck, then this is usually done once a month. I prefer the spray (Frontline, only available from the vets) and although this says it lasts for 3 months, if they have been anywhere there are sheep I always spray them again in case of ticks. Also Frontline is suitable for puppies from 2 weeks old, whereas some say not to be used on puppies under six months.

I sell flea treatments, and it amazes me why people buy the cheap stuff and then have to come back for more because it hasn't worked. Buy a decent one and it will do the job and last.

You will need to do it as a precaution.i use the drops on the back of my dogs neck every three months.i use frontline.

thanks lankeela,i think it was frontline that the breeder used when i picked him up at 8 weeks old.hes nearly 5 months now and i havent done it since but have done wormer every month from vet.ill get some from the vets friday as hes due a wormer on the 13th of this month.thanks xxx

Don't know what wormer you are using, but I would check with your vet whether he needs doing every month now, I would say every six months (although the vet will probably say every three months!).
