Why does my cat like sitting on pieces of paper so much?! He's always at it!

My cat sits on anything you put down - he likes to do it when you are doing paperwork, put something down and there he is sleeping on it within seconds.

He also loves sitting on my computer

His favourite places to sit are on the lawn (when its wet) or on the mud (after its been freshly dug up), and behind my car tyres when he knows I need to leave for work!
