Can anyone tell me how to rescue a dragon (tree) plant - i took all the dead ends off in winter and no new ones seem to be growing back.....? Have i killed it???? It lives(?) in my conservatory which does get a bit stuffy in the afternoons in summer. Any advice gratefully received.

when you say you took all the dead ends off, do you mean you took the dead leaves off, or did you just take off the dead bits of the leaves ?

if you just took off part of a leaf, they don't grow back.
if you took whole leaves off, they don't grow back either, but just increase the length of the stem.
the further down the plant the laves are, the older they are. New leaves grow at the top of the plant, pointing straight up. These new leaves should be a brighter green than the other leaves.

make sure the plant gets a big drink about once a week, fertiliser if also recommended, the long lasting pellets are perfect.

Hi Shaun - thanks for that - yes i stripped off the dead leaves and there are 3 stalks out of one thick main one but it's bare and i do give it water about once a week. It doesn't look happy (?)..... :(
bare as in no leaves at all ?
