I live close to a lake and there is plenty of flys so I get plenty of spiders around my windows. How can I stop them from making webs? is there any natural product that I could use as repellent? Thanks

Hi chasam , I don't know , but maybe a tiny smear of vaseline might do the trick on the woodwork (or pvc) . Just a tiny blob on a cotton bud otherwise you will end up with smeared windows. I would rather have the spiders !
I would let them make their webs. Do you really want to be mired out with flies all summer.

Just dust them down from time to time. Spiders exist to make webs.

thanks for your comments. The thing is that I am terrified of spiders and everytime I open the windows, plenty of them come in and I find them all over the house. I dont really want to kill them, but it is getting a little frustrating because they go everywhere. At least the flies appear when the sun goes down, but the spiders are always there, waiting...
I dont know what to do!!!!!
Be grateful for the webs. They may look untidy, but without them the spiders will starve to death as it's their only means of catching flies. I know you say you're terrified of spiders but actually they really are perfectly harmless and every fly caught and killed is one less fly to spread disease.
