birds in trees

On average on any given night in the UK how many birds are asleep in a tree. So, when i look out at night at the tree outside how many bisrds are in it?

Very good question. I've been watching a spotted flycatcher for two weeks darting in and out of its nest to feed 5 babies. Now they have fledged - where do the parents sleep? Maybe they don't , in which case where do they go at night for 40 winks. Perhaps we should contact the RSPB
