we always called them........chiselpigs
I always knew them as grey grannies, but appear to be alone! Anyone else?

Yup, i call them slaters too! My boyfriend called them clipshears, but since found out that a clipshear is really an earwig lol
They're known as Granny Greys where I live!! Dont know where you got any of the other names from???!!!!! Funny though!!
My sister's ex-husband used to call them cheeselogs. He was from Reading. Don't know if it's just a Reading word. We always just called them woodlice, but we were from Southampton............................................
