Introducing Goldfish?
2 Answers
My niece has had one goldfish in a 1 gallon bowl for nearly a year now and it has thrived. It's quite a lot bigger (and has a gorgeous tail!) and she has just changed to a tank which is a little over two gallons. she's only young so she can't really afford to get a tank and her parents have no room. Would she be able to introduce a new "friend" (goldfish too, of course) to the tank without one killing the other or any related problems?

They might look like they have plenty of room but they produce a lot of waste and another goldfish on top of the one she already has will produce even more waste. She will probably find the water needs changing more often and it could lead to health problems for the fish. Sorry to put a downer on things but I learnt from experience!
