I recently discovered that the French dine on horses. I think we should learn from this as I'm not a fan of horses and would be happy to see them being eaten on a regular basis. Any thoughts?

We used to eat horses over here, I remenber in the early 60s, our Butchr sold 'Horsemeat for Human consumption', I see nothing wrong with it at all.
Yes ..until you cook it and you get a heap of vile grey meat on which is as tough as old nick .Having lived in countries where they eat horse meat and having it passed off to me as beef ..no thank you.
We may have had to eat it during the war but I dont think the British public would be so enamoured of it these days.
Anyway shouldn't this Q be in Food and Drink or are you another wind up merchant ?
I much prefer canibalism!
actually, a decent cut of horse meat is better than beef steak. It's just probably whta you've had is from old nags that have come to the end of their uselful lives working the fields or whatever.
I can't think of anything more disgusting!. There are a few things I am not keen on but I wouldn't particularly want to eat them.
