Do you think it is ok to flood large parts of Wales in order to keep the South-East supplied with water ?

As a welshman NO why flood lovely Wales? As Glyn outta BB is locked away in that godforsaken house this Glyn will stick up for wales
Wales is beautiful, the South East not quite so, way too flat for a start!

Flood France instead and get a really long hose?

I went to Cardiff once, Croydon with chipped tiles.

Having said that, I'd happily flood Purley.

Hi whiffey,

I am English, and I live in North Wales, The annoying thing is that we pay more for our water here than Liverpool or Birmingham, also the way land was taken at Capel Celyn to supply Liverpool, made me ashamed to be English,it was so Bl00dy arrogant without a single thought to the people that lived there, So I hope that it never happens again, ever, Ray
ray where in north wales?
if you dont mind me asking?
The most beautiful part, the exquisite Conwy Valley, Near to Betws-Y-Coed,I love it here,I would never go back to London, been here 26 years
Sensible man Ray!

I spent a few days in Ludlow once, absolutely gorgeous.

My sister was living in RAF valley on anglesea for 3 years lovely isle. one thing i miss about wales is the scenery here in dublin theres not much 2 see,lol and love driving over there, the roads over here are terrible. the A55 was heaven 2 drive down.
hi whiffey
i'm from Ludlow and we are
not in Wales!
Water will become an ever more valuable resource in future years and I think it inevitable that Wales and Scotland will be called upon to supply other parts of the UK with vast quantities of water.

I would hope Welsh and Scottish parliamentarians prove canny enough to ensure their constituents are well compensated for the sacrifices they may be called upon to make and that both countries begin to view fresh water as a valuable export commodity.

Is Capel Celyn the submerged village I saw a documentary about some years ago, raysparx1?
Question Author
Yes sorry coinman, but I did spend a week there, and it was bloody gorgeous, I will never forget it.
Probably was,it is near Bala, really sad,the arrogance involved, when it is very dry you can see parts of the village,

I am off out for a meal now, Sons Birthday, good question whiffey, take care all, Ray
back to your question, the elan valley pipeline to Brum comes virtually through my back garden (certainly the back garden of my local) so it isnt only the valleys that are affected.
glad you liked Ludlow
Instead of flooding where we live whiffey, why don't you just take 25% of our rain? ...we'd gladly let it rain where you are, so we could get an extra 2 months summertime
