Ill Maltie
4 Answers
Our two year old Maltie is ill and this is the first time since we have had him, so forgive the slight panic. Three days ago he had an attack of diorreah whilst walking in the meadows, it was blackish in colour and as he needed one and smelt of pooh we gave him a bath after which he was his usual lively self. Yesterday he didnt eat much although enjoyed some lamb. He got hot but my wife cooled him down with a damp towel, he seemed ok later and his motions were more or less back to normal, no liquid. Today he started vomiting bile and eating grass, he had to be dragged out for a walk, but played a little with another dog in the park, tonight hes not interested in any food even chicken bits and though he stands up when someone comes in, sits back down, his tail which is normally curled is halfy halfy and hes just staring into space, oh and the other his back legs gave way, and then recovered, help

There's also been a lot of parvo about this year and also your breed can been prone to shunts in some blood lines. Go get proffessional help now. Stop trying to walk a poorly dog and don't let it interact with other dogs. Wash your own hands lots. Hope it's nothing serious and that your dog gets better soon.
