Update on Drunks with dogs
5 Answers
Those who read the post last week, there have since been more shannanigans with our beer swilling friends. This morning the Rotty attacked a blind mand and his guide dog, final straw for me as I happened to know the blind man personally. I phoned the police, half an hour later they arrived, too late of course, the culprits had gone but have just seen two officers walking the man in question and dog accross the road (rotty was having a bark at the police) so something must have happened and am hoping the local constabulary will call me and let me know the outcome although not sure really what they will do. Will keep you posted. Insane situation really!

I am absolutely horrified.
f the dog is taken away scumbag will probably just get another one anyway I suppose. Do you know how the blind man and his dog are?

it's a sad situation, the dog is being blamed again through irresponsible owners,it has answered your question eyeshade, time & time again, these people should not be allowed to keep animals, tonight i was coming back through town (nottingham) and a couple of these people were weaving in & out of the traffic, (obviously way out of it) & the dogs were running after them, an accident about to happen!
sadly, nothing is done again, hope you get a result, good luck.

I do know the blind chappie in question and I come into contact with him most weekends as he is usually collecting for some good cause or other. I will check on him, although he is not the sort to sit on his laurels, I am sure he too would have complained to the authorities. He recently lost his old guide dog and this is a new one so I would imagine he was pretty upset by it. Luckily rotty had his muzzle on (thankfully). The local police must know these people and as Allot said, it is not really the dogs fault, but how is anyone going to rehome it, once it has been taught to attack. Well, will post anything significant, in the meantime I will continue my surveillance!
