This morning i opened my front door and a cat had peed on my doorstep. The smell is really strong and although i cleaned the step with dissinfectant it somehow has made my front room stink as it's coming through the letterbox and from under the front door.

How can i get rid of this smell.

Thanks

I can't tell you how to get rid of the smell, (unless bleach or disinfectant will work- the smell is the waste product of bacteria in the urine and this should kill the bacteria) but can advise how to keep cats away. If you have your garden close to your front door, bury moth balls half an inch under the soil nearby. They will be able to smell them and they don't like it and it doesn't hurt them. Which is important. I don't like cats, but wouldn't do them any harm. They are a part of natures plan.
try drinking it..?
try drinking a smell? That's good Alfie. That sound you hear - that's one hand clapping.
someone told me that pine scented disinfectant is the best thing to use - but (luckily) I've never had to test it out.
Washing down the step with Biological washing powder should get rid of the smell.
Cleaning with surgical spirit removes the odour.
