surprise holiday for xmas with kids, forgot about 2 cats, making a rota from friends to look after them, but i need suggestions,,, know there is something in argos tha i can time to make sure the are fed, will put in tray litters, make sure someone pops in maybe every night, any help will b appreciated, do not want them in kennels

They'll be fine! They'll be in familiar surroundings with familiar smells. And they'll play with each other - maybe get a few toys, balls etc. Have a good time :)

Are you sure people will want to (or remember to) pop in when they are busy with their own Christmas festivities?
Don't forget to leave the phone number of your vet, so they don't have to search for it or take them to the wrong one if anything should happen.
If they are indoor cats it shouldn't be a problem, but if they are outdoor cats make sure they can get in and out easily in case its cold.
