will my 2 cats ever get on?

hi all, i have an 8 month old female ragdoll kitten and have just brought a 4 month old male ragdoll but the female keeps hissing at the male. will they ever get on? it has only been 2 days that they have been together. many thanks.

The one that he had at 6 wks spent about 4 days hissing and actually growling at the newcomer, at one point they thought they would have to get rid of the new one.
They soon settled down though and now they are never apart and love each other to bits!

Cats are territorial animals, so a pecking order has to be established - that's what all the hissing is about.
They will eventually agree that one is Top Cat, and the other will fit in, apart from occasional spats, which are the norm when cats live together.
It seems distressing to us, but really it is perfectly acceptable cat behaviour, so if you leave them to it, they will sort things out, and get along fine afterwards.
