I'm not familiar with Bob Martins but I have used flea bombs on a number of occasions for the local council. My advice to tenants was to put away all food, food containers, dishes etc. Remove and store all bedding and childrens toys and clothing. Storing these things in closed cupboards or drawers will suffice. Use 1 bomb in each infected room or area. Infected areas are usually where dogs or cats have access. After setting off the bombs leave the house for a minimum of 4 hours. On return open the windows for a hour or two then vacuum all carpets and furniture then throw away the vacuum bag which may contain fleas and / or eggs.
2 other important things to remember. Firstly, make sure that whilst you are out of the house you treat any pets that might be the source of the little critters so that they don't take any back into the house. Secondly, you should repeat the whole exercise after 2 weeks because whilst the bombs are generally pretty effective in killing fleas they don't kill the eggs, which take 2 weeks to hatch.
Good luck. You'll beat 'em if you are thorough.
