Polar bears

How do they know that polar bears are left-handed?

This isn't backed up by any particular evidence, but dragged from memory (so it could be wrong). Anyway, I understand that the polar bear facts have long been recorded in Eskimo stories and songs, and backed up by scientific observation of the way the bears behave in the wild. i.e when attacking prey such as seals, or fishing salmon out of the water, they use their left paw.
