when our family cat gets caught out in the rain she always comes to us to be dried off with a towel, she is 4 we have done this since she was tiny.My pal thinks this is hilarious but we consider it normal. what say you ?
My mums cat does that aswell!
He seems to deliberately go out for 30 seconds in the rain, then come back and jump on your lap to be dried with a tissue!
Mine doesn't seem to like rain but doesn't seem to realise that by coming inside he wouldn't get wet. Instead he will sit (often in a puddle) shaking the water off his paws then suddenly run inside where he darts around any nearby towels and heads straight for my bed which he then covers in wet paw prints until he finds a spot where he fancies lying down in order to dry off! Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!
I think pets are funny with their little quirks, my nanas cat is a bengal cat and he loves to have an emery board rubbed along his nose and when you stop he nudges you to do it again.
My sisters dog will only go to her if he's feeling ill or needs to go out at night for a wee, the brother-in-law can get lost as far as pooch is concerned. He also has his food on a plate rather than from a dish as he doesn't like his mouth to get dirty with dog food, should he get dirty he wipes his mouth along the sofa or on the rug or if you're stood there....your pants.
thanks everyone for your replies

ps my two dogs are shar peis and they will never go near water[as in the park], puddles etc and if they are desperate to do a wee and its been raining all day my better half takes them in the garden with a giant umbrella to protect them, has done so since puppies.
Better to be a softie than be cruel.
my cat loves to be patted down with kitchen roll and deliberately goes out in the rain to get soaked - quite likes the out of the window, get soaked, in through the window, get dried, repeat at least ten times game...................and we're all stupid enough to play it!
