What does that farmer do in his sheds?

I don't know if this belongs here but it didn't fit into any other category.

The farmer that lives up the track from me has 3 or 4 huge shed like things, he hasn't got livestock in there but he's always taking huge amounts of manure out of them.
Theres often huge bags of sawdust leaning against the doors and its too dark inside when the doors are open to see in there.

I know its a bit nosey but I really want to know what he is doing in there!

I wonder if there is extra-terrestial life in there? He goes in, comes out and nothing is seen; I find that strange. Sawdust? ... hmmmmm. I wonder if that's what they feed on? Could he be a Government Agent in the guise of a Farmer? Just a passing thoughts. 'Hay!' Ya never know!

Could be he has a mushroom farm, but you would know by the smell :-)

Are you sure there are no animals inside? He could be a veal farmer where the calfs are kept in complete darkness, which could account for the manure coming out but no sign of animals.

I've asked my husband who was brought up on a farm and he said he could be doing any number of things in them lol which isn't very helpful.
Sawdust, could be chickens or turkeys?

Looks like yer gonna have to ask if you want to find out, maybe ask around locally if you don't want to ask him.

all sorts of birds i:e quail, turkey, chickens can be raised entirely inside.

How do you know he hasn't got livestock, he may in winter his cows or be lambing his sheep

Or he could be growing cannabis - just had a farm raided in my home town that had four big sheds fullof it! Mind you, thinking about it, I don't think cannabis produces manure.

farmers store manure as it conserves the nutrients - they basically leave it to rot down, as 'fresh' manure can do more harm than good - are you sure he didnt put the manure there in the first place, and you have only seen him removing it! I am intrigued though, you must ask him and put a post on here as to the answer.
