If you have a rabbit living in the home, is it better for them if you have a run built in the garden so they can play outside when the weather is nice instead of spending all the time indoors.

My rabbit lives indoors but I also have a run in the back garden which he goes out in during the spring/summer time which he seems to enjoy (during the day when I'm at home). I personally think rabbits are alot happier living indoors rather than outside in a dark dingy hutch but it's also nice for them to get some fresh air in their lungs.

Hello Linda51. I had a rabbit that was 10 years old when she died. She was a house rabbiit ,that is her hutch was indoors. She was allowed the run of the house for a few hours a day and the freedom of the garden under supervision as there are foxes around our gardens often. She was a joy to have in the house and very quickly housetrained herself ,popping back into her open hutch to do her bits.Rabbits do like some fresh grass and mine loved dandilions too .
