Protein allergies in cats.
1 Answers
The vet thinks my cat may have a protein allergy and has put her on an elimination diet of lamb and rice. So I bought minced lamb, cooked it and mixed it with rice, but the cat simply won't eat it! I've since tried liver which she will eat but only raw. I'm concerned that liver is not much of a varied diet for a cat and also that raw meat isn't very good for her. Does anyone have any experience of a cat on an elimination diet - what form of cooked lamb might she eat and what the hell I can do to rice to get her to eat it?! Any help much appreciated!

It might help to tease the cat by eating some yourself first making oh this is so delicious noises before offering a bit of yours.
