The only way I know to keep your cats "flea-free" is to keep them indoors totally and don't let them roam. That way they won't pick up fleas from other animals. Also.... I used to bath my cats on a regular basis, not they they enjoyed it (I had the scratches to prove it ha) but it did help to keep the flea population down.
Sorry I can't help further than that but you seem to have to chemical/herbal side covered and it's not working, so next step is to quarantine them for life!

You also need to treat your home. Wash all the cats bedding at a high temperature and then spray with flea treatment. Although fleas need an animal to feed they can survive for a long time in carpets especially around the skirting board and in soft furnishings. You can get a spray for the home from your vets or pet shop but you need to do this regularly. The best thing for the cats is Frontline but you need to repeat this every 4-5 weeks and you need to do it all year round (central heating stops the fleas from dying off).
Most cats hate being bathed so i would not recommend it unless absolutely necessary.
Are you being bitten?

Hi - you can buy things called 'foggers' and they fumigate the room that you put them in - just make sure that you, your cat and any birds, fish etc are out of the way for the stated time. I also wouldn't recommend bathing your cat as this does not work - you just end up with clean fleas!! Fleas can swim and proof that the frontline is working is if you find a dead flea - say - in your cats water bowl..
I would only use the Frontline Spray. The spot on drops never seems to work. Also if the cats go out in the garden they can get reinfested by hedgehogs or rabbits or other cats. The spray seems to work for quite a few weeks. if they don't like being sprayed, spray it onto a rubber glove and stroke it onto them.
Hi i have two cats and i use JOHNSONS 4 FLEA and my 2 have not had flea since also use there spray for the house but only spray around the edges of the carpet or laminate ,and do your furniture all down the sides of the cushions ,one thing to remember is when giving flea tabs is the weight of the cats my aunt had this problem her cat must weight 2 stone and she gave him johnsons 4 flea and he still had them so she doubled the amount and he aint had them since .
