A while ago we got a flyer through our door telling us to boycot Tescos because in Japan or Korea or somewhere they are selling live food (fish, turtles etc). My sister emailed them asking why they were so concerned with something happening on the other side of the world, when it was common culinary practice here to boil lobsters alive,and shouldn't they be more concerned with that? They responded that there was a charity campaigning for the abolishment of this anyway, and that they weren't concerned with British issues. I have emailed them, suggesting they set up a branch to campaign against animal boiling worldwide, and not exclude their own nation.
