By the way it's used 4 bladder problems if that helps?
The AB editor has prevented me from using the correct term for a female dog but never mind!! My female dog has used propalin syrup for about 5 years and it is very effective for bladder problems. I buy it from the vet on repeat prescription and it is very expensive. You should seek advice from the vet first as I think it is a medicine that should be used for ever once it has been started.

Thanks Apricot, My dog has used it for 1yr but now they are saying she needs regular checkups what with the syrup costing 27 every 6 wks and now check ups 15 a time things are getting veeeery expensive. They don't tell u about this when you decide to have them spayed she was ok till then
You shouldn't need a consultation every time, I certainly don't. If your vet is sniffy about this consider changing. Make sure any new vet would just supply the propalin though. I had the syrup paid for by the insurance company for the first year but I try not to think about the cost anymore. Good luck eggcup5

Thanks apricot, I will do as you suggest and change vet or at least see what they have to say. The person I last spoke to was the practice manager perhaps they needed to get more cash in (keep the tax man happy) thanks for the advice and good luck to you with your pooch!
Life can be a b itch cant it when remedies cost so much for our pets. I hope your dog is much better apricot and it appreciates the love that you give it.
