i have a couple of guinea pig hutches, and the last couple of nights i have noticed that slugs are crawling over the hutch and inside the cage, how can i stop it from happening?

I would suggest circling the base of the Hutch with Copper Tape.

Sprinkle normal household salt across any access to the hutch(es). I can almost guarantee that there will be dead slugs in the morning.

Ensure the cage is on legs and scatter a few slug pellets around
