10 mins ago I heard a bit of a hoo-ha out my back lane, so I looked out of my window to see a little Westie wandering around (loose, off the lead) having a good old sniff, and a man SCREECHING at it to, "get back here before I hit you". Which escalated to, "If I have to chase you you'll know about it". Way to make a dog want to come back to you. He has been yelling its name ever since, and as far as I know it still hasn't returned. Wonder why? It's now running around a busy town centre area, yards away from a main road, at lunchtime.
*Sigh* I for one wouldn't blame it if it went and found itself a new home, but I am worried for its safety.
I know how you feel leela some people have no idea on training or looking after their pets,It makes my blood boil what if the poor dog is run over ect.Like you say lets hope some one finds him/her and it can find a GOOD home poor thing.
Plus you have to ask yourself how did the dog get off the lead anyway, must have put its paw up and undone itself, not the owners fault of course!! Someone should go and shout at him, preferably a dog warden!
I went outside to see if I could spot it, but no luck :( Them Westies are nippy! Looked front and back when I walked my woofer too, and still no sign. I will knock on the door today, and see if they got it back. Perhaps I ought to tell them they don't deserve a dog.
eyeshade, I know, never the owner's fault!
jules, I wish I had been less calm now :( gelda, I will keep a close eye.
