Hello. I live on the Nottinghamshire / South Yorkshire border. Does anyone know of the nearest beach where horseriding is permitted?

I finally got to do it in Cornwall, and fell off on the hard sand where the tide had gone out and cracked my head. Wouldn't you think it would be a soft landing?
Also got to ride my old boy at Happisburgh in Norfolk, although thats a bit too far south for you, but the beaches along there are more or less deserted for most of the year.

few words of caution though, never go at full gallop and beware of pot holes, soft sand and mud, and dont allow the horses to go too far into the sea. I say this from experience of having broken my back when my horse tripped in a pot hole he tried to jump, he went over, with me underneath - fortunately we both lived to tell the tail, but it could have been much worse.
