Its beyond sick, how any one could have it in them to do that just really is beyond belief.
The thing i find worse is that even if they were caught, i doubt very much they would get time in prison.
As far as im concerned, doing that to an animal, is the same as to a human (yes i get slated for that opionion) and the jail term should be the same.

Horrendous:-( As you say,words fail me. I agree with you Wiggal,that anyone who is found guilty of this,will probably get off with a slap on the wrist,instead of a proper punishment,but,the law should consider,that any THING that is capable of such cruel behaviour to defenceless animals,is a very dangerous individual who is capable of much more.

I'm with you lot - let's hope the culprits contract a verrrry nasty disease or better still, rid us of their burden and jump off a bridge - people capable of that don't belong on the earth. scum.
