we just added another pet to the equation!

I just thought I would rave about our new pet, we already have an unsociable rabbit a very friendly hammy and my daughter just got a guinea pig given to her! (my cousin owns a pet shop) I was pretty much bullied into getting it the weekend we had no housing for it or anything so I converted an old blanket box into a top of the range house! im well chuffed!.
I wasnt looking forward to getting it settled but i must say i am really impressed with the little man! hes great sooooo layed back and seeing as i have never had a guinea in my life i have read loads on it. We are all just getting to know the little fellas personality and he is very entertaining! Are there any tips for me and my daughter?

Put newspaper or a blanket on your laps, as they tend to pee on you!

I found that out yesterday it went on for ages and it was really hot! hence we have a towel that is all his!

They're lovely, aren't they? They "speak" to you, which is more than bunnies do!

How smashing, you will have hours of pleasure with him, I have two Iggy and Wiggy and they are little dears.Just remember they like soft voices not loud sounds and they adore clover and celery.Good luck with your new pet and enjoy, which Im sure you will. g

thanx all he is absolutely gorge! ive been converted to the cavie world! we got him talking to us and everything have to try him on some celery we have been introducing bits to him gradually he loves oranges but not tomatoes. thanx again all xxx

Dandelions! they love them! mine have never been that impressed with celery but who knows,that may be a personal piggie choice, bit like marmite in the human world
